And they're off!

Andrew thinks he's a Baylor fan so this year he painted his car green and gold with dragon tattoos.  Made sense to me.

Second place!

Pinewood tension

Moments before the start of the race and the drama is palpable. The boys are on edge, barely waiting to see who will be fastest. Well, most of the boys are ...

Of course I couldn't take them to a park just for pictures

After I begged and pleaded with them for some portraits I rewarded them with plenty of time to play at the park.

First they played Hide-And-Seek.  Matthew rocked at counting and we pretty good at finding Andrew, but totally missed the concept of hiding.  He'd wander around until Andrew finished counting and the run as fast as he could while giggling.

Then, well they did the only natural thing left to do. They threw leaves at each other.

Oh what talent!

Thursday night Matthew had a talent show at school. His class sang a song I still don't know the title of. They had dance moves and everything. Matthew didn't dance so much but he sang his little heart out! And he got to stand next to his best friend Jaxson.

Unfortunately I forgot my camera and had to take these pictures with my phone. Note to self: put the camera back in the car.

Do you know how hard this was to do?

The dude just doesn't stand still!  I couldn't get him to stop for even 1/200 of a second. What a monster!

Andrew and the Giant Lollipop

Last week, Andrew went to Chuck E. Cheese with his best friend, Nathan.  I presume they had a great time.  I was lucky enough to avoid going.  I'd like to thank Nathan's parents, Chuck and Anna, for volunteering to descend into the lions' den with the boys.

At first I thought Andrew was going to be defeated by the giant lollipop.  Lo and behold, I was right.  He made it through about 2/3 of it and had to put it away.  I don't think he ever actually finished it.  In fact, I don't even remember where we put it so that we wouldn't forget.  Hmmm....

Hey, where's Perry?

Oh, there he is!

While we were at it, Matthew wanted me to photograph his favorite Christmas gifts this year.

Christmas Monsters

I just asked them to hug each other, not brutalize each other.
