Fayetteville, TN

This is where Andrew and my dad had the most fun. Andrew was my dad's shadow for the entire day! I think they both had a blast.

Whenever we stopped for a moment and he didn't want to take pictures, Andrew spent his time tossing stones.

He climbed this dogwood tree at the city hall because he saw me do it for this shot in this series.

More from Joe Wheeler

Sorry for the interlude. I took a bunch of photos at the state park while we were in Alabama. Same day, second photo post.

What else would you do when you are near a body of water?

Trip log to resume shortly

Apologies, but these last couple days I haven't really been feeling well. I'm starting to come down with a little bug and have been exhausted at night. As a matter of fact, I crashed on the couch the other night and didnt' wake up until 15 minutes before my alarm was set to go off.

Anyway, here's a shot of Andrew taken by my dad during our trek to TN. You'll notice that this was the set-up for two shots I published in the previous post (#10 and #11). Dad set this up, I took it from the side, and Andrew made dad take the same position so he could take the shot.

(Shhh. Don't tell anyone I posted this from work!)

He makes me so proud

Grammy and Grampy got Andrew a camera this year for Christmas. They gave it to him while we were visiting and we decided to take it to Rady Park in Warrenton for the afternoon. Actually, we had it in the car and when Grampy started taking picture we thought Andrew would like to as well.

It was adorable how he imitated all the gyrations Grampy went through to get a shot; from kneeling on the ground, to getting in close, to reviewing the pictures on the camera afterward.

Unfortunately, the camera didn't work quite right and we lost all the pictures he took that day. I did manage to grab a few that he had taken later on in the day. I'll post those tomorrow.

Two smooth guys at Sea World (where they can, "see penguins, dolphins, whales, girls").
