The first soccer game

Andrew had an absolute blast! He ran, he kicked, he cheered the other team's goal, he forgot which way they were playing, but most of all, he had fun. I guess all of those backyard drills have been paying off.

As I was tucking him into bed tonight, he looked into my eyes and said, "Tomorrow is Monday and the next day is Tuesday, which means SOCCER!" It brought a tear to my eye.

By the way, I was just kidding about the backyard drills. We do play in the backyard, but no real drills ... yet.
